A rear extension in Church Village, built from the footings up
This rear extension in Church Village was built by the Aspire team from the first dig to the finished building: groundworks, slab, brickwork, roof and the new bifold doors and window.
Below is how the build went, stage by stage. Every job we take on follows the same order of work, with the same two directors on site.
We are based in Beddau, close to Church Village, and we cover the village and the rest of Pontypridd and the surrounding area.

Stage 1
The starting point
A back garden and lawn behind an existing house. Before any digging starts, we survey the site, agree the layout and the position of the new openings, and confirm the plan with the customer.
Stage 2
Footings
The footprint is set out and the foundation trenches are dug. Getting the groundworks right is the part nobody sees once the job is finished, and the part that matters most.
Stage 3
Concrete slab
With the foundations in, the floor slab is formed and levelled inside the footprint, tying the new floor into the line of the existing house.
Stage 4
Brickwork
The walls go up in brick to match the house, with the openings left in for the new doors and windows.
Stage 5
Roof joists
Once the walls are up, the roof structure goes on. Here the roof joists are in place and the walls are ready for the next stage.
Stage 6
Inside the structure
A look inside while the building is still a shell: the roof structure overhead and the inner walls taking shape, before any plastering or finishing.
The finished result
Finished and handed over
The finished extension opens the back of the house onto the garden through new bifold doors, with a matching brick finish and a black-framed window.
