Privacy policy

Last updated 1 October 2026

This policy explains how we look after the personal information you give us when you enquire about work, call us or use this website. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

Who we are

We are Aspire Construction & Groundworks Ltd, trading as Aspire Construction, based in Beddau, South Wales. We are the controller of your personal information. You can contact us at info@aspireconstruction.uk.

What information we collect

When you fill in our enquiry form, we collect what you choose to tell us:

  • your name, mobile number and email address;
  • the address of the property;
  • details of the work you want done, including your rough budget, timing and any photos or plans you upload;
  • how you would like us to contact you;
  • how you found us (for example, from a van, flyer or sign), so we can see which marketing works.

If you phone or email us, we keep a note of what you tell us. Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technology to make the site work and to collect general, anonymous statistics about visits.

How we use your information

  • to reply to your enquiry and arrange a survey;
  • to prepare and send you a written quote;
  • to carry out and manage the work if you go ahead;
  • to keep the records we need for accounts, insurance, guarantees and the law;
  • to understand which of our marketing brings in enquiries.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

Our legal reasons for using it

  • Taking steps at your request before a contract: handling your enquiry and preparing a quote.
  • Contract: carrying out work you have agreed to.
  • Legal obligation: keeping accounting and tax records.
  • Legitimate interests: running and improving our business, including understanding which marketing works. We make sure this does not override your rights.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run our business. They handle your information only on our instructions:

  • Squarespace hosts this website;
  • Zoho provides the enquiry form (Zoho Forms) and our customer records system (Bigin);
  • Google provides our business email.

We may also share information where the law requires it. Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they must protect it to an appropriate standard.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If you become a customer, we keep the records of your job for as long as we need them for guarantees, insurance, accounting and tax. When we no longer need information, we delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Some of these rights depend on the circumstances. To use any of them, contact us using the details above and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
